Bliss
Hi Everyone!
Hope all of you are having a superb Sunday evening.
If you follow Kintyish over Instagram – you’d know about our recent trip to Dubai & Abu Dhabi. Taking a nice vacation after almost a year is always special, right? 🙂
While I’m compiling the travel tale on the places we visited in Dubai – here’s a quick snapshot of outfits that I wore during the trip.
Before going to any country, it’s good to understand few basic local cultural essentials/trends – specifically while you’d be at public places there. Hence, I checked few articles online about dressing up in Dubai. All of them suggested to opt for outfits that are modest; both for men & women. Because of this, I carried multiple options (more than enough to last for our trip) making my biggggg suitcase super full **Sigh**.
Here’s what I wore that might give you an idea on how to dress up while in Dubai. Since I am a super-loyalist to a pair of jeans & trousers, that helped me not to lose out on the CHIC quotient as well keeping the local trends in mind 🙂
Btw, like our last trip to Singapore – I ended up wearing only one pair of shoes/sneakers throughout the trip except at one point for very short time.
Few Additional Pointers:
- If you’re visiting/staying at The Atlantis or any good hotel/resort, there’s no dress code there.
- If you’re going for any full-day tour, make sure that you carry a warm coat/jacket as it gets very cold during evening/night time.
- Prefer sneakers if you have activities planned that include lot of walking/adventure.
- Carry a summer scarf; that might come in handy at multiple places.
- Do carry stylish ruffles; because of the Sun – you might need to use the ruffle to tie your hair – I’m sure you’d want to look good even with impromptu-tied hair, no? 😛
Have you been to Dubai/Abu Dhabi? Do share your thoughts 🙂
Let’s start with a super casual look (Look 1) 😀 I guess, I am going to wear this T-shirt,Jeans,Sneakers combination for many many more trips to come 😉
Look 2: I never liked centre partition of my hair as it never suited me more than the side-partitioned one. During this trip however, I planned to carry the same with braids for a day & I loved it 😀 Highlighted the look with blue eyeliner & a white sling.
Jumpsuit: Uptownie Lite via Jabong.com
Belt: Vero Moda
Sneakers: Nike
Shades: IDEE
Sling: Charles & Keith
Look 3: It used to get very cold during the evenings & hence I always carried a warm jacket on all the days since we barely came back to the hotel during the day time. Except this day during one of our visits, I just picked a casual pantsuit (Ginger by Lifestyle).
Look 4: I don’t know how I love peplum style so much that I somehow put a belt around my waist all the time. If you remember, even my wedding outfit had peplum styling.
Top: Marie Claire (Not recommended – after just second wash – all the silvery pastings came out like aluminium foil on the fabric; sadly, there was no fabric-wash disclaimer as well)
Shades: IDEE
Look 5: Well, we had Sheikh Zayed Mosque’s visit preponed because of which I couldn’t wear the outfit that I wanted to. If that would be the case, I wouldn’t need to wear the burqha which I had to carry otherwise. There you go, another look.
Btw, how beautiful the mosque is, right? Sshhhh.. all the other details in the travel tale 😀
All in all, if you don’t want to wear a burqha, you may wear something which covers you entirely & carry a scarf for the head.
Look 6: Yay, one of my favorites! Previously published on the Instagram feed.
Look 7: Again, another peplum style top; this time – with ruffled sleeves 🙂
Look 8: I love capes so much that I hoard them in my wardrobe some or the other way. Here’s one of my all-time favorites. 🙂 This was during visit to one the malls & hence I could wear a sleeveless outfit.
Which one of the looks did you like the most & why? Do share with me 🙂
PS: All the details on Dubai travel will be live shortly; stay glued 🙂
Have super happy week ahead!
Lots of Love,
Himanshi 🙂
