DIY Shoot? Oh, Yes!

Helllo Everyone ❤

So, I have got this big news to share with you all 🙂 I got married. Yes! 😀

If you follow Kintyish on Instagram, you’d have some idea about our Valentine wedding. Oh yes, the wedding ceremonies took place on 14th February, 2017 🙂 Well, the date was a product of both luck & situation. Now I present to you, my dear husband – Anubhav :). You’ll get to know more about him pretty soon when I’ll bombard the website with plethora of blogposts about our wedding & the honeymoon. Until the wedding pictures arrive from the photographer, we’re going to share stories about our honeymoon travel vacation.

Pictures, as most of us would agree that are frozen memories. Being bloggers & creative souls, both of us have special inclination towards pictures.

When we’d plan our honeymoon, we’d think about how would we be able to take pictures together – trust me – it really becomes difficult. Selfie sticks are okay but I’m more like – the pictures should have our full shot 😛 Yeah, a little finicky that way. Taking the tripod stand along became an obvious choice. DIY couple shoot – check! 😀 😀

Even with the tripod, one has to work well (read: very very smart) with the timer, lighting & the entire frame setting. Hence, it takes a lot of effort. But genuinely – if that effort bothers you – don’t go for it; since you shouldn’t do anything while on vacation that spoils your mood. We chose Maldives & Singapore for our honeymoon. Why we chose these – that in the next post 🙂

The irony in Maldives (while shooting was) – the Sun kept playing with us; hence – even in 2 consecutive burst shots, the lighting is different & it seems like our same set of clothes are of different colors. Nevertheless, Both of us are goofies. We had too much fun even while posing & shooting. There were shots where I clicked the camera timer button & ran towards my husband – and we didn’t know what to pose; it happened vice versa as well. Those impromptu shots came out the best.

We behaved as if we were getting clicked by a professional photographer & just having fun. Btw, never underestimate the power of “Burst shots” 😉 This feature helps you click even actions that last for few microseconds.

There was a shot when we had to jump together & our individual jump timing was a little mismatched. After we checked that shot immediately as we had realized the mismatch, we laughed so hard that we cracked up our stomachs! 😀 😀

So, if you’re planning something like this, don’t forget to have fun ❤

So, here we present to you, our favorite part of the honeymoon in Maldives & Singapore – all the self-shot stories. ❤

We’ll await your thoughts on which picture you liked the most & why *butterflies in the stomach*

Story behind this shot: This was the first set of couple shots we tried. We just had gotten ready to go out in the ocean & get the pictures clicked. Anubhav suggested that we test the camera settings & click few pictures. Just after he set up the camera, he picked me up unannounced. This picture was one in the series. This is personally my favorite in terms of how it came out. The sun rays from the roof-tip are adding a charm to the candid love that we share. And of course, I’m loving the way Anubhav is looking at me *Blush Blush*

Story behind this shot: So, you see an infinity pool, that too at such a fantastic location & don’t get a mirror image clicked? That’s unfair, right. I wanted this reflective shot very badly. When Anubhav directed the camera at this angle, I didn’t realize it would be such beautiful frame. ❤

And finally, he fulfilled my wish. *Yayyie*

Story behind this shot: Initially I was dubious on including this picture in the blogpost but then I realized that though we’re simply posing for the shot, what makes this worthy of the post was its super awesome background. It’s shot in the beginning of the evening when it was neither too dark nor too sunny weather. Again, the frame setting credits to the Husband! 😀

Story behind this shot:  Okay so, this was my idea 😛 😛 We were already shooting at this point when I saw umbrellas in one corner (which are usually kept in the resort at various points). I wanted to use this as a prop & see we’re flying high 😉 Oh btw, camera direction by Anubhav.

Story behind this shot:  So, Anubhav has this thing with picking me up. But then, after the latter shot, I told him that I want to pick him up as well. He stared at me & said – you’ll hurt your back (for obvious reasons). But I wanted to have that pose so badly that he had to figure out a trick. Any guesses on how was I able to pick him? Well, I’ve already given a hint in the post above. Why don’t you guess & share with us 😀 😀

Story behind this shot: This was the first day when we arrived at our water villa in Maldives. Both of us were mesmerized, of course, by the view & more by these stairs leading directly to the ocean. We just decided to step down & have fun 😀

Story behind this shot:  Okay so, one another evening – when we decided to dress up & shoot, there was a beautiful set for a romantic dinner at the point in the resort called “Moonpoint”. Remember, that hut like figure from the mirror image shot above? Yes, this setup was in front of that hut. Well, while this setup was being done, we thought – why not get cheesy?! And this came out 🙂 🙂

Story behind this shot:  While having fun in the ocean; playing with the sand & waves 😀 Notice how the difference in sunlight at different points changed the ocean color in the picture.

Story behind this shot:  When we were in Singapore, we visited this very beautiful 200 years old Chinese temple. Just being tourist-y here 🙂 🙂

Many more stories on what we wore, what we bought, where we stayed coming soon! Stay tuned & stay kintyish.

Lots of Love ❤
