Twisted

Lehenga is an intrinsic part of Indian cultural system. Be it a relative’s wedding, a friend’s wedding or even a Rakhi celebration, Lehengas have always been there and will always be there. They’re never going to go out of fashion – at least for Indians. Though it seems like just a form of skirt – blouse, it’s much more than that. Over the time, many designers have played with the concept of Lehengas and brought innovation however the basic form never dies. If you’re an Indian girl reading this article, I’m sure you’d be smiling right now thinking of the lehenga you own – right? *Hehe*

Wearing a lehenga could be a task though as its traditional format is of being a heavy skirt with so many layers. For a summer wedding, no matter how much AC-ed environment it is, lehengas can be a nightmare. What is Kintyish’s recommendation? Go for a light cotton lehenga that will help you stand out in the crowd and well will make sure that you’re having a ball *grin*

This is how I’d prefer to go for a summer wedding. A light cotton lehenga with cotton blouse will do wonders for me. I anyways prefer simple look for a wedding.

I’m very fond of earrings so I let them stand out in the outfit. For hair, I just made a braid on one side and twisted it onto the other side. Glide on your red lipstick to complete the look. As I am barely a makeup person, I went just with kohl and red lips along with a layer of BB-cream . That’s all 🙂

Here, featuring a lehenga from Shakumbhari that had absolutely what I was looking for. So what’s your summer wedding look? Do share with me here.

Cheers,

Himanshi
