Joy.

Hello, people!

Ok, so how do I start this post?! This is more than just a regular blogpost. There was a dilemma for me to choose between two titles for this post; well, I settled with the “feeling”. Period. Though all of my posts have some or the other emotion hidden but this one is special.

Few months back, I had registered for a marketing internship program by Ambi Pur, a Procter & Gamble brand. Being a business student, this was something which I couldn’t have afforded not to participate in.

Along with that, if you’re a regular reader, you’d know how much I love participating in contests 😀

The program started on a very exciting node where I had to complete marketing missions (step by step) to complete the internship. The last mission was to sell Ambi Pur units to potential customers.

Well, I was on Rank #1 for quite a few days with highest sales; however the ranks kept shuffling until the end of the program.

At the end of the program, I was named among one of the Top Performers. 🙂 As part of one of the prizes, I’d been invited to have an interaction with Ms. Sonali Dhawan, Marketing Director of P & G – India at their Mumbai office. *Sigh* I know, right? 😀

I was so excited for the meeting that I had decided my outfit as soon as my tickets arrived 😛

Oh that reminds me that I have to share the outfit pictures with you guys as well. As the journey was a little hectic so I literally had to fight with myself to click pictures or get them clicked with appropriate settings.

The meeting was really super which you will eventually get to know when you’d scroll down. Not just Ms. Dhawan candidly & humbly discussed about the ideas the winners presented but also their entire team did put a lot of effort in giving the winners an experience of a lifetime! Be it reception at the airport or the interaction or the delectable lunch, everything was worth the hectic schedule.

Let’s talk about my outfit now.

As this was a formal interaction followed by a lunch, a formal attire should technically be the choice. However, I just didn’t want to be in a grey/black business suit so, I thought of adding “Kintyish” element to the outfit. I paired my Ivory blazer with culottes than donning it with a formal pair of trousers.

As the color of the suit was bright enough, the choice of the top should be a little subtle hence I picked the self-designed coral rose top.

For makeup, signature winged eyeliner (thinner than usual) and slightly tinted red lips did the magic for me.

The trio of black shoes, belt and bag completed the look.

Did I mention how beautifully Ms. Dhawan paired the minimalistic red crystal-ed jewelery set with a dark magenta red dress? Perfect for an office setting! You will have to contemplate the look as I couldn’t get her entire outfit picture. However, my selfie with her will give you a hint of what I am talking about.

Oh btw, I also bumped into Mr. Kunal Shah, Founder & CEO of Freecharge at the airport on my way back to Delhi. Managed to get a selfie with him as well so you can say that it was a Selfie trip for me 😀

So let me know how’d you like the entire look and the concept of Kintyish smart formals 🙂

Stay Kintyish,

Himanshi
